Then twenty.

Somewhere around tab twenty-seven, you find a forum post from 2018 describing the exact same issue.

Progress.

Stage 5: Enlightenment 🎉

You finally spot it.

One tiny typo.

A misplaced configuration.

An environment variable.

A forgotten null check.

You fix it.

Everything works.

You smile.

Then immediately spend twenty minutes trying to explain to your teammates why it took four hours to change one line of code.

The Moral of the Story

Debugging isn’t just fixing software.

It’s detective work.

It’s patience.

It’s curiosity.

And occasionally…

It’s discovering that the bug wasn’t in the code at all.

It was in the assumptions.
